Indonesia Confirms Police Killed Bali Bomber

Indonesia — Indonesian authorities confirmed that one of the three suspected terrorists killed in a police raid Tuesday is in fact Dulmatin "Joko" Pitono, an explosives expert who played a critical role in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings which claimed 202 lives.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono made the announcement while he was in Australia on Wednesday (3/10). Now there is speculation that the recent anti-terror operation in Aceh province, combined with police finally killing Dulmatin is connected to U.S. President Barack Obama's planned visit to Indonesia later this month.
