Al-Qaeda Executes French Hostage
Editor's summary:
Mali — Members of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) on Saturday (7/24) killed a French hostage being held in Northern Africa.
Retired engineer and aid worker Michel Germaneau was abducted from Niger this past April. AQIM claims his murder was retaliation for six AQIM fighters killed during a failed rescue attempt last Friday.
