Expect 2010 World Cup-Themed Phishing and Spam Attacks

South Africa — We've had a couple posts about criminals trying to take advantage of the upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Individuals and businesses alike have been warned to be wary of, among other things, online ticket scams. Now security software vendor, Symantec, is warning soccer fans to be on the lookout for a significant increase in World Cup-related spam and phishing attacks in the run-up to next summer's event.
