LTC David Bristol to Deliver Keynote Address at IDGA Army Aviation Summit

The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) has announced the Army Aviation Summit scheduled for June 28 - 30, 2010 at the Key Bridge Marriott, Arlington, Virginia.

Attendees to IDGA's Army Aviation Summit will hear from keynote speaker, LTC David P. Bristol, USA, Product Manager Light Utility Helicopter, Utility Helicopter Project Office. LTC Bristol's highly anticipated session, "We can upgrade it. We have the technology. Utility Helicopters: Better, Stronger, Faster" will address the current production and projected path ahead of the remarkably economical UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter. The UH-72A Lakota is a principal model of how aviation leadership and staff have successfully executed rapid acquisition of a new system that is a commercial/non-developmental item which is ultimately the Army's modernization goal.

Through a combination of technical examination sessions and key case studies, IDGA's Army Aviation Summit will identify performance of current aviation systems platforms, potential growth areas, and the long term focus of the US Army Aviation community.

Helicopters are not the only focus point; IDGA's Army Aviation Summit will delve into all aspects of U.S. Army Aviation – Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Aircraft Survivability, Equipment, Training and many more.

Additional sessions will include:

  • Manned/Unmanned Common Architecture Program (MCAP) Development And Network Centric Flight Tests
